My heart is aching within me today. I have heard too many stories, seen too many sights, experienced too much pain. I'm going to be completly honest here with a struggle I have been trying to deal with, I am losing my trust in men. How could I not when I see these little girls before me who have been raped, molested, abandon, abused by the men who are supposed to be caring for them? Or women whose husbands leave them alone with their children to go after another woman? I have come to the point that I look at every man wondering what secret he's holding. It breaks my heart as I hear about girls being taken as slaves, little girls. I know I'm wrong, please prove me wrong. I want nothing more than to be proved wrong, to be shown that out there there are men, amazing, trust worthy, faithful, godly men. I know there are, there have been some that have been in my life and I am so very thankful for them because they are the ones who give me hope. All this thinking leads me to the next part. Men, I am pleading, I am begging with everything in me, show the world that you're out there. Be involved in the lives of children and youth. Our children are so desperate for male role models. Our boys need to be taught how to be gentlemen, how to be fathers. Our girls need to know what its like to have a man that truly loves them so they can stop running after what we have believed is love, but is so very far from it. Everyday you have the opportunity to be the difference. "Be the change you wish to see in the world" My favorite Gandhi quote. My heart is so broken over this.
(When I say that this happened to the girls that are right in front of me PLEASE take this as figurative. I mean the girls all over the world... not specifically here! My girls stories are confidential and I wouldn't share anything about their lives on here!)
The shameful act of a few men with no character and respect for women should not lead you to lose faith and hope that good ones exist. We're still here, raised by great fathers, supported by great mothers, and the world is slowly catching on to our presence.

I couldn't help but tear up while I read this. I understand your lack of faith in men. I pray for your girls everyday. I truely believe there are good men pit there it's horrible though how the bad ones are the ones who leave mark
ReplyDeleteSama, Thank you for a great challenge. You are so right. Men if you are doing a little do more, if you are doing a lot do even more. We have all of eternity to rest but until then we must give our all. I apologize to all the woman that have been wronged. Please forgive us and know that we are working to have the vision, love, compassion of our Father and our brother Jesus. Keep encouraging us and we will lead. HIS blessings my sister.
ReplyDeleteSam... It's so beautiful for us guys to see women who's hearts desire Godliness. I don't think anything is more impassioning, or encouraging to see yours and other's hearts in this matter.
ReplyDeleteJust to encourage your heart... there are guys like myself that are praying about taking up a future that is actually one that actively rescues girls from this darkness. I've got no idea how that looks, but God has made us men of light to combat the darkness. If anyone is going to save those that are enslaved... I feel it should be those that have the power of the living God. He's a big God!!
Again I share this to encourage you. I have no idea what the future holds, but my heart is feeling the same as yours. There are men that God has raised up that are, through His power and grace, the polar opposite of darkness. You can help us by being an example to us if what a Godly women's heart looks like... so we can see beauty as God sees it and righteously see and hate darkness as God does. You can also serve us by praying as we seek to be men of light :) In turn, I pray we can be an encouragement and example to our sister... and be beacons of light to this world.
This is a brother's heart... you are not alone :)

So... something interesting happened today... I actually got a call from someone very close to me who has been in a dark, abusive, enslaving relationship. He took something of hers that she needed but he is very dangerous. Well, I was able to go with her and be a supporting brother... because it wouldn't be safe to go alone. This is what's cool, God was at hand, and light trumped the darkness!! Everything to our surprise went under control and Jesus is breaking the guys stronghold on her life. It encouraged me because God always outshines darkness... and His redemption repairs all :) Those creatures of darkness have nothing on Jesus and His children... Praise be to Him!!!
